Penryn’s Finest Furniture & Bed Store
Our story begins all the way back in 1985, when the Devon Bed Centre in Exeter first set down roots.
Now, over 30 years later, it’s the largest, longest established independent bed centre in Devon. And that pedigree, knowledge and industry experience has been poured into our Penryn furniture and bed store - Christies.
Taking on a Penryn project!
In 2010, we took on the Christies Furniture store and, having been closed for two years to that point, it was in desperate need of refurbishment. We relished the challenge and near re-built the place - transforming it into the comprehensive furniture hub that it is today.
We’re proud of the hard work we put in back then and even more proud of the successful years we’ve had since. Now, as then, our team is proud of the first-class customer service they provide to our customers in Penryn and across Cornwall.
In 2016, we installed a new first floor - making Christies Furniture Store Penryn one of the largest furniture stores in all Cornwall and the wider South West. We now boast 100 different beds on display, from all the leading manufacturers in the country.
That includes full gallery displays from companies such as Kaymed and Harrisons, who over the last two years have each won the prestigious bed manufacturer of the year award. We even have the ‘Mammoth’ beds range - the only range of beds proven to improve sleep.
The perfect recipe for furniture success
Why have we been so successful?
We think it’s because we source from the leading suppliers in the UK and the world, at prices that everyone can afford. We provide a first-class service for our customers and we are passionate about our subject. With such a vast range to choose from, the guidance of our enthusiastic advisors can be invaluable!
Why bother coming in store?
We’re pretty proud of our online range, but some companies we stock (including some really good ones) don’t allow us to list their products online. With that in mind, it’s always worth popping in to see the full range - you never know what you might miss otherwise!
