Our story began in 1985 with the launch of the Devon Bed Centre in Exeter. Over the decades, it grew into the region's premier independent sleep specialist, prompting us to expand into Cornwall 15 years ago to establish Christies Furniture in Penryn. Across both locations, we have focused on curating the absolute latest furniture styles, bringing contemporary interior trends and timeless classics directly to the South West.

Our story came full circle in 2018, when we launched Christies Exeter just two doors down from our original bed centre. In December 2025, we achieved our ultimate vision by acquiring the physical unit in between both stores and knocking through the walls. This ambitious expansion seamlessly connected both Exeter locations into one magnificent flagship superstore spanning 30,000 square feet. To celebrate this landmark chapter, we also launched a brand-new website and refreshed logo to perfectly mirror the modern, forward-thinking business we are today.
